Prata @ Thomson

I don't have the pictures of the pratas here as I didn't bring a camera along with me. Anyway, all pratas look the same.

I think the pratas are pretty good and some people even commented this thomson prata is the best prata shop in Singapore. I love the banana prata. It got chunks of banana inside. Very nice! Highly recommended.

However, I think its famous crispy aka plain prata is not as nice. It is abit too thick and not very crispy too. Comparatively, the one at jalan kayu is much better.

I tried the teh chino over there. I have totally no idea what is the difference between teh chino, teh and teh tarik (except this has more bubbles). But, the teh chino is nice. I don't like tea that has a very strong milky taste. Their teh chino doesn't and I like it!

This Thomson prata should be cheaper than the one in jalan kayu.

2 teh chino, 1 milo dinosaur, 2 teh-si tarik, 3 plain, 1 banana, 1 cheese, 2 cheese-mushroom, 1 cheese-egg and 1 chicken murtabak = $23.40

Carls' Junior

Marina Square

Contrary to the views of many, the burgers here wasnt as fantastic as I thought it would be. Tasted really like burger king except that it's a whole lot BIGGER!! But the criss-cross fries were really cute. One interesting point to note is, at Carls' Junior, you have to make your own iced lemon tea! Sugar water, tea, lemon slices and all. Cool right???

Codfish Village

Block 83 Toa Payoh Lorong 1

Unknown to many, there is a codfish place hidden in Toa Payoh. This was my second time to the place but the food was kinda disappointing, as compared to the first. The codfish curry which I tried during my first visit was defintely so much better. I tried the long-awaited cheese codfish which din turn out to be that delicious and codfish tofu which was really kind of unique. But the fish was really fresh. The champagne pork ribs was kind of yummy too. Looking at the menu, I realised that there was another branch at Block 970A, at which more dishes were served. Am so determined to visit the place soon! Oh yes, remember NOT to try the kangkong there! It's really just veg drained in chilli oil.

Killiney Kopitiam

Marina Square

Actually this is my 2nd time there. well-known for its toast and coffee, many may neglect the chicken curry that they have there! it's really spicy and served with warm, toasted bread. absolute heaven!!

this photo isn't doing the food much justice *hees*

and the iced coffee was good too! really thick and really chinese.

Chinese version of Rami Burger at bugis village

Bugis village (opposite bugis junction). This is one of the stalls found at the mei shi jie. ( near the traffic light)

Looks tempting right? It cost $2 for the burger and tasted a bit like the fillings of the sun kueh, except that it is softer and more "smashed"?
hehe... It goes along nice with the chilli sauce and the mayo.

Tasted not bad, but not exactly spectacular. Posted by Picasa

Cafe Divine

Cafe Divine
The Adelphi (Opposite Funan)

After reading chubbyhubby's excellent review on this cafe, I was motivated to visit this cafe as soon as possible. But it turned out to be a disappointment. Yes, the prices were as cheap as described. But merely so because it is actually just another one of those shabby cafes that you can find in shenton way where ppl just make do for lunch. Okay, perhaps the food was that terrible but was certainly wayyy below expectations. I thought that the NIE western food actually tasted better!
