they're currently having a 1-for-1 special till the end of feb. which is probably why i tot the meal was worthwhile - 24bucks for the above w soup as well. otherwise, i would think not! the food was not really unique in anyway. we had the cajun fish and half-chicken. the spaghetti tt came with the cajun fish was worse than the one i make and the bbq sauce on the chicken was too sweet. the mashed potato felt a bit too starchy too! but the criss-crossed fries were really good! better than the one at carls' jr i would say. hmm but after the meal i felt really really thirsty. too much MSG i suppose?

Fried Kway Teow @ Ghim Moh

I went Ghim Moh market to try their very famous Fried Kway Teow. It is the stall with the longest queue and I had queued for about half an hour! It's good! This Kway Teow is neither too sweet nor too salty. It also has a generous serving of cockles. Pity that I don't really like them. This picture is not exactly the Kway Teow at Ghim Moh. Haha. I don't know why I can't get my picture up. But this picture is very close as both kway teows have a lime. Haa. Next time when you go to Ghim Moh market, go look for the stall with the longest queue. They only open until 3.30pm and close on Wednesday :)

Spageddies @ Paragon

Here's finally a post on spageddies! I din manage to take photos of it the last time I went there. I'm actually quite a fan of their pasta. Havent tried their pizzas though. I love their carbonara and chicken cannelloni ($14)! actually for the latter, i call it the italian popiah. cos it really looks like one! hahas. i totally love the creamy cheese! wrapped in the pasta "skin" was meat and veg thingy and even more cheese! yummylicious! here's a pic of it:

btw, 4 of us had this! haha and here's what the rest of my friends ate!

Clockwise from the top left: cheese manicotti ($11.50 - it's really like the italian popiah except that it's all cheese with tomato sauce), crayfish parmigiana ($18.50), chef choo's special ($19.50 - soft shell crab pasta), pork chops ($18.50)

Water Rise @ Parkway Parade

Been wanting to try their burger since forever. finally went to do it today but the person had to take my order wrongly.. sigh... i ordered crispy chicken burger but the person heard as chicken burger ($1.90). oh well.. the burger was still not bad. the thing abt the burgers is they dun use buns but use pancakes!! amazing rite? so it's really kinda unique. but the burger is kinda small lar. so dun expect much, since it's rather cheap too. the green thing at the back is actually wheat grass drink($1.30).

Try the japanese ice lemon tea ($2.50).. it's very unique too..

Waraku @ Marina

This was my Xmas dinner. SUPER good! but super ex oso haha. the entire set comes with Seafood/Beef, Sashimi, rice, Tempura, white wine and desert!! You actually have to wait for the food to cook on the dried leave.. When they present it it's only half cooked.. but remember to flip ok. i forgot then one side got slightly burnt. hehe.. Then again, this was their Xmas special. so when u go there maybe no more sets? but they do have it on the ala carte menu.

The Tempura there is not really amazing lar. Tastes normal to me lor. haha. Maybe cos i dun like fired batter much. haha. the Sashimi was fresh though :) and the desert was nice! some kinda ice cream but somehow i cannot tell wad flovour it is. Looks like vanilla rite? but definitely NOT vanilla...

Do remember to try the butter scallops($6.80)! Very yummy. And that mess of red and yellow stuff? it's actually some mayo and cheese scallop. it's not bad. lotsa cheese in it. but i think it's not very worth it. ($8.80) The butter scallops are much more worth it. and has more scallops... haha. Do go and try when u feel rich okie? haha. my final bill was $97++!! But normally it's not that ex, so do go try during some specail occasion. Juz rem no Xmas k?? haha.

P/S: they really do have a very jap ambiance. and there's another outlet at East Coast Park =) (near the tennis courts)
